|T-18||White Lady (Toner)||Pale hair||For residual brassy color on already pale hair.|
|T-11||Lightest Beige Blonde (Toner)||Lemon||On “lemon” bleached hair for a sandy blonde color.|
|7A/672||Medium Smokey Ash (Color)||Yellow or orange||On yellow or orange hair for a dark, smoky blonde.|
|7AA/632||Medium Ash Blonde (Color)||Yellow or slightly orange||On yellow or slightly orange hair for a lighter ash blonde look.|
|Use this developer with a darker toner or to correct mild brassiness.||Use this developer with light toners and/or more orange-tinted hair.||30 & 40 Volume strength work very quickly, and without careful monitoring, these developers can destroy the integrity of your hair. So, never try to use these developers at home!|
Remember, use only 10 or 20 volume developer at home.
10 Volume: If you are using an ash brown or dark blonde toner, this one is proper. Besides, if you are using a light toner to soften your mild brassiness, this one also works well. In general, if you try to deposit a darker shade of toner into your hair, choose this one.
20 Volume: Compared with the 10 volume developer, 20 volume developer is a little stronger and more suitable with lighter blonde toners. This developer has a lightening effect.
Firstly, choose the right toner and developer: Wella Color Charm T-18 Lightest Ash Blonde Toner and Wella 20 Volume Creme Developer.
1. We recommend you do a strand test. First, apply the toner to a small section of your hair, then wait a moment to see how this turns out and then you can decide if this is the right color for you.
2. Wash your hair thoroughly and rinse out any shampoo or conditioner.
3. Mix the 20 volume developer with T-18 toner: two equal parts of developer to one part toner.
4. Apply the mixture to your hair in sections. Start from the hair shaft, then the bottom of the shaft, then the roots.
5. After you have applied the toner to your hair thoroughly, let it settle for 30 minutes.
6. Rinse out the toner and developer! No need for shampoo.
7. You can use it every 5-6 weeks.

Easy steps, right? Then, start to create “The Rachel” ash blonde look for yourself!
“Discoloration occurs by UV rays causing the hair cuticle to open and lifting color by a couple of tones,” says celebrity hairstylist Frank Barbosa for IT&LY HairFashion. To avoid discoloration, try applying Wella Brilliance Color Protection Serum (Amazon: 6*10ml, $11.6) on damp hair after shampooing.
Try Wella Brilliance Shampoo (Amazon: for Fine To Normal Colored Hair for Unisex, 33.8 Ounce, $21) to enhance the brilliance of the ash blonde hair color.
This mixture consists of half water and half white vinegar with a few drops of peppermint oil to kill the vinegar smell. “Vinegar closes your cuticle properly, so the product sits on top of the strand and bounces off for a high shine,” explains Barbosa.
With these tips, ash blonde hair color maintenance is no longer a difficult task for you!
